....global realities of “woman” in the 21st century are investigated through a variety of mediums. The female form has inspired artisans and artists through the existence of man. The Venus of Ostrava, ca 25,000 year BC, exemplifies the power and influence the provocative beauty of the feminine has evoked through the visual arts. Sculpture, prints and painting all have laid homage to the woman, power and beauty. Relaying the moral, religious, sexual and social realms onto he physical further the multi-layered mystery that surrounds the maiden, madonna, muse.

The members of bau have invited and involved the creative force of the written word and have crafted a hand made limited edition book, featuring the visuals of the member artists illustrating the beauty of the prose. Truly visioned by artists working across disciplines, the bau book is collaboration between the visuals of seven members and the words of poet/artist/performer Elia Gurna. A party and performance will ensue.
